Players Sends No. 1 Player Home Rory Misses Cut; Kuchar, Na, Johnson Lead
The Players Championship still lacks some definition going into the weekend. At least it still has one of golf's star attractions. In what looks to be a neighborhood block party, Sea Island residents Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson steered clear of trouble Friday and shared the 36-hole lead with Kevin Na. They had a one- shot lead over Harris English, a PGA Tour rookie who also lives 100 miles to the north at Sea Island. The attention shifted to Tiger Woods, who with one burst of birdies ...

Mom: Mentor, Best Creek Friend, Doctor, Cheerleader Good Morning
Mother's Day is creeping up once again. This is a day that always has meant so much to my family. However, I lost my mom a few years ago, and it is bittersweet. Although we didn't have much money, my dad always took me to the local store to pick out something for Mom. I was not as appreciative as I should have been. With very little, my mom always made sure I was dressed nicely for school. I remember she got hand-me-down clothes from my Aunt Pearl. But we always got new. My mom was the...

No Experience Necessary? Green Pacers Refuse Underdog Role in Miami
MIAMI - Combined, the players in the current Indiana starting lineup have a total of 90 playoff games between them. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade - each by himself - have more than that. So if experience matters for anything in this Miami-Indiana matchup in the Eastern Conference semifinals, then advantage Heat, and in a big way. This is the first trip to the second round for the Pacers since 2005, and of their starters, only George Hill and David West have ever appeared in anything bey...
High Court Passes On Poison Case Woman Faces Murder, Feticide Counts
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Supreme Court on Friday declined to drop murder and feticide charges against a woman who ate rat poison while she was pregnant in a case that medical and women's rights groups contend could have larger repercussions. However, the court's unanimous ruling does allow Bei Bei Shuai to be released on bond, which is rare in murder cases. Shuai's attorneys contend the Chinese immigrant living in Indianapolis ate rat poison in a suicide attempt, not to kill her baby,...
