An Evansville man accused of battery on a child in a 2007 case is being investigated again after his 5-month-old son died, Evansville Police Department officials said Monday.

Railan Barrett died Monday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was airlifted last week after suffering an apparent seizure at his East Side home, said Cpl. Steve Green, the Police Department spokesman.
