Accuride Warns of Layoffs, Shift Loss Henderson Plant Could Lose Second Shift at Year's End

HENDESON, Ky.- Accuride Corp. has warned employees at its Henderson plant that it may eliminate the second shift and lay off 30 of the facility's 200 employees at the end of this year because of an industry slowdown.

"(Plant Manager) Audie Hammond did communicate (on Wednesday) to employees that there is a potential to move to a one-shift operation," company spokeswoman Eva Schmitz said.
