Deena Laska, founder and artistic director for Children's Center for Dance Education, plans to get double duty out of her trip to Indianapolis Monday to receive the Indiana Coalition for the Arts' Community Arts Leadership Award for Arts Educator.

Laska plans to turn it into a field trip for some of her young dancers, giving them a chance to see their capital and tour the Statehouse, she said. "We'll bring lots of little people from here who have not gone up and seen Indianapolis before," she said.
