Summary
Tea Party-movement-inspired House Republicans have succeeded in passing their "cut, cap and balance" bill, and now let's hope they've gotten that glibly named and economically disastrous measure out of their system and can get around to doing something serious. Oh, maybe, like passing the 12 annual appropriations bills that are the lawmakers' basic reason for being in Washington at all.
One suspects, and certainly would like to think, that if government-savvy House Speaker John Boehner had thought this bill had even the faintest chance of passage in the Senate, he would have contrived to kill or derail it.See the full content of this document
