Key lawmakers said Friday that a draft compromise would allow Indiana's two horse racing tracks to each pay a $250 million fee to install up to 2,000 slot machines.
The proposal would also allow riverboat casinos to pay a $25 million fee to go from a riverboat to a barge, allowing them to build bigger facilities more cheaply. Both the slot machine and casino fees would be put toward immediate property tax relief for homeowners, lawmakers said.See the full content of this document
