While 6 a.m. offseason workouts may have seemed excruciating, Castle High School volleyball coach Jana Reiter is confident that all that sweat equity will pay off in postseason success.

"We obviously talk about (the tradition)," Reiter said. "That's something we emphasize at the beginning in our 6 a.m. workouts. We had great attendance. The way we use that is our tradition is something to be proud of. I tell them, 'This is hard.' There's a reason we've won 14 straight sectional titles."
