Using little more than measuring tape, a stick and a calculator, a new champion was crowned in front of a quiet crowd of 30 in Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve this weekend.
After about 20 minutes of careful measurement and calculation, city arborist Shawn Dickerson added a 28-foot-tall service berry tree along the banks of Odonata Pond to the local list of champion trees, which are the tallest known trees of their species in Vanderburgh County.See the full content of this document
