Earlier this month, the U.S. Small Business Administration awarded Robert G. Flowers Jr. its Washington Metropolitan Area District Office's 2008 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year Award. Flowers got the honor for his work with RGF Consulting Corp., a company he runs in Fort Washington, Md., not far from Washington D.C.
