If the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency toughens its limits on ozone pollution without changing guidelines for ozone alerts, Evansville officials are worried it will lead to more local air quality alerts.
Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel, in a letter to the EPA, has asked the agency to also revise its Air Quality Index - the health-based guidelines generally used for issuing alerts.See the full content of this document
