Council Oks Tax Phase-in for New at&T Call Center

Summary


A tax phase-in for the new AT&T Mobility call center, to be located in a vacant former business building on the East Side, was approved Monday by the Evansville City Council.

In April, the company unveiled a plan for a $22.3 million state- of-the art customer service operation in Evansville. A deal on a location was pending. But days after the announcement, an agreement was reached on the purchase of the former Sam's Club at 5101 Vogel Road.
