Evansville's City Council tabled a nonbinding resolution Monday night that asked city officials to suspend two youth grant programs for at least this year and shift that money to the Parks Department after City Controller Jenny Collins promised to find the thousands of dollars from another source.

Councilman Dan McGinn read aloud the proposal sponsored by him and fellow council members Don Walker, Dan Adams and Wendy Bredhold to help clean up the parks.
