NEW HARMONY, Ind. - Aspiring artist Linda Volz hopes Mother Nature cooperates and holds off on the rain forecast for today - her 48th birthday. That's so she can continue what has become a birthday tradition - the "First Brush of Spring" art contest in New Harmony.

"I think the festival was on my birthday one day. The first time I just walked around and watched all the artists, and then I decided 'I can do that,' and then I started coming," she said.
