Henderson May Lose Its Curbside Recycling

Unless Henderson, Ky., officials can figure out a way to recycle the idea, the city's curbside recycling program - in place since 2002 - appears headed for the trash heap at the end of May.

The Henderson City Commission unanimously voted March 27 not to sign a new contract with service provider Allied Waste Services because the price in the final year would jump to $221,872.
