FRANKFORT, Ky. - A plan to legalize video slot machines at Kentucky's race tracks appeared to pick up steam Wednesday, as House leaders dangled some bait - a massive statewide school construction package that eclipses $1 billion.
Speaker Greg Stumbo and other lawmakers outlined the plan before a legislative panel Wednesday, although a final draft has yet to materialize. The plan, which the Kentucky House may vote on by Friday, would authorize more than a billion dollars in bond money to build schools throughout the state.See the full content of this document
