Jean's Grove to Honor Slain Clerk

Summary


Nov. 1 is the date for a groundbreaking for Jean's Grove, a tree memorial at Burdette Park in honor of Busler's clerk Georgia "Jean" Cook, who was fatally shot during a robbery in October 2005.

The memorial, for which individuals may buy trees or brass plaques, will be located along the first phase of a planned 2.5- mile bicycle and running path linking Burdette Park to the University of Southern Indiana.
