Kimball Reports Loss for Quarter

Summary


Largely because of higher commodity and transportation costs, Kimball International reported a loss in the fourth quarter of the 2008 fiscal year.

On Thursday, Kimball said it lost $9.8 million, or 27 cents a share, on its continuing operations in the quarter that ended June 30. In the same period a year ago, it had enjoyed $4.4 million in profits, or 11 cents a share.
