Barber Lauded, Gets Probation Business Longevity Helps Sway Judge

A federal judge Monday commended barber Roxie L. Brodie Jr. for operating a business in Evansville's Center City and then sentenced him to three years of probation for selling DVDs of copyrighted movies.

Brodie, 56, pleaded guilty to copyright infringement in September in U.S. District Court. Chief Judge Richard L. Young accepted the plea agreement Monday and sentenced him to probation.
