Man Allegedly Leads Police On High-Speed Chase

Summary


An Evansville man was arrested Friday after he fled from police, ran stop signs and stoplights and reached speeds of more than 100 mph.

Police were sitting at Maryland and Fulton avenues when a car driven by Satanta Huffman passed them at a high rate of speed. Officers got behind Huffman as he turned east on Oregon Street, going through two stop signs before turning south on Second Avenue. He continued on Second before turning onto Tennessee Street and disregarding the stop sign where the streets intersect, according to a probable cause affidavit.
