EDITOR'S NOTE: In 2002, several members of Evansville's Latino community came together with a mission to help newcomers navigate the transition to a new life in the Tri-State. Since then, HOLA - Hospitality and Outreach for Latin Americans - has served hundreds of new arrivals.

Daniela Vidal, one of the founders of the organization, is embarking on a new venture - editing La Nueva Voz, a new quarterly Spanish-language newspaper published by the Evansville Courier Co. Vidal appears this week on Newsmakers, a weekly public affairs television program produced by WNIN-PBS9 and the Courier & Press.
