Murder Plea Agreement Gives Rockport Man 65-Year Sentence

The Rockport, Ind., man who pleaded guilty to murder in the death of Sheila Denson was sentenced Monday to 65 years in prison as part of a plea agreement.

In a statement, Spencer County Prosecutor Daniel Wilkinson said he felt the plea agreement was a good one because he believed if Lonney Schroeder, 42, had gone to trial, the outcome would have been similar.
