Summary


Despite a great deal of optimism of late that Vander-burgh County might get out of trouble with the federal Environmental Protection Agency concerning the fine particulate matter in our air, it appears now that that's not likely to happen.

Vanderburgh has been in nonattainment with federal standards on annual measurements of particulates along with Warrick County, but lower levels reported in recent years have prompted state and local officials to lobby for putting the counties back in attainment.
