Less water should flood properties near HaynieOs Corner after city officials have a nearby alley repaved with a permeable material.

The Evansville Redevelopment Commission agreed Wednesday to hire the local architecture firm Hafer Associates to redesign an alleyway that runs through Goosetown Park between Southeast Second and Putnam streets. The alleyOs pavement is composed of brick and is to be replaced with a material allowing rainwater to seep into the ground rather than pool on the surface.
