Negotiations will resume Friday over a 2010 contract for Evansville Police Department officers.

Those talks had come to a halt earlier this year after the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 73, which represents 285 Evansville officers in active service, sued the city over an alleged breach of its previous contract. The suit charges that Evansville officials decided OunilaterallyO on Jan. 1 to raise the cost of health insurance paid by officers.
