In their remarks at Thursday's Vanderburgh County Right to Life Spring Banquet, both Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele made it clear they oppose abortion for very personal reasons.

Steele spoke of his birth mother's decision to put him up for adoption, and Palin spoke of the fears and doubts she experienced when learning her youngest son, Trig, would be born with Down syndrome. She also talked about her daughter Bristol's unplanned pregnancy at age 17.
