The name of a Gibson County Sheriff's Department deputy who died while on duty will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., during a candlelight vigil today.

Deputy Sheriff Jerry "Jed" Fisher died after a heart attack on Oct. 3, 2001, while training with his K-9 partner at the Evansville- Vanderburgh County Regional K-9 Center.
