There was a time when Relient K was known primarily as a punk- pop band. But these days, power pop seems to be the description that best applies to the band.

Singer/guitarist/keyboardist Matt Thiessen, though, isn't worried about fans feeling Relient K has thrown them for a loop, especially on the group's recently released CD, "Five Score and Seven Years Ago."
