City, River House Owner Agree On 90-Day Repair Schedule Fines May Be Waived If Violations Resolved

Evansville officials have come to an agreement with attorneys of Van Natta Holdings, which owns the River House apartments, for Van Natta to fix the violations in the complex in 90 days. The announcement came at a Building Commission hearing Thursday afternoon.

The building, which has more than 70 property maintenance code violations, will use licensed contractors to bring the building up to city codes before temporarily reactivating power. The fire and health departments will inspect the building before it is reopened.
