Trucking Company Fires Driver in Hit-Run Crash

Summary


The owner of a local company whose coal truck driver was involved in a hit-and-run accident this week said the driver has been fired.

Kenneth R. Hopper, 56, of Evansville, was arrested Wednesday on preliminary charges of reckless operation of a commercial vehicle after police tracked him down three miles from an accident scene on the Lloyd Expressway. No one was seriously injured in the wreck.
