Summary


Face the nation; face the music; put a good face on things; face the facts - interesting how often we use the word "face" in our language; even if we have a face "only a mother could love." We intend to face up to our responsibilities but too often we choose to "save face" instead.

I did it again just the other day! Faced with an important but difficult issue, I said the wrong thing to someone I love dearly. I knew what I wanted to say, and I felt my intentions were right, but when the moment to came to face the issue knee-to-knee and nose-to- nose with one of the people I treasure most in the entire world, I backed away from being totally open and honest with my feelings and made a mess of it.
