FAIRFIELD, Ill. - An accord has been reached in a stalemate between Wayne County Sheriff Jim Hinkle and the County Board over a budget crisis sparked by higher gasoline prices that have the sheriff's patrol cars running on empty.
Hinkle told the County Board in June he had only about $1,000 left in his fuel fund for the remainder of the fiscal year, which runs through Nov. 30.See the full content of this document
