Witnesses Cite Abuse Before Infant's Death

Summary


Employees at Deaconess Cross Pointe treatment center noticed a bruise on infant Abigail Johnson's cheek and voiced their concern to a clinical social worker a month before the baby was rushed to a hospital with fatal injuries.

The social worker, Cheryl Davis, testified Wednesday at the trial of David L. Johnson Jr. that two other employees came to her with their concerns and she reported it to Child Protective Services.
