Jose Dolores Mezo Peniche and his wife watched with excitement Tuesday as movers carted away crates of old medical equipment from the former Welborn Baptist Hospital in Downtown Evansville that they hope will create new opportunities in Mexico.
The more than $10,000 in equipment, which included radiology and ultrasound devices, cardiac stress test machines and blood analysis equipment, was donated by St. Mary's Medical Center to the Rotary Club of Evansville.
